We visited with a large family and two kids of different ages. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality, energy and promptness shown to us by each and every member of the staff, right from the doorkeepers to asha in the reception, the chef, cleaning staff and the restaurant staff. Omkar and sandesh in the restaurant would greet us and tend to our family every day in the morning buffet service and make sure their staff serves us everything as per our customisation. The rooms are a highlight of the property. They are bright, clean and extremely large and spacious. Plus they come with a balcony. They are well equipped with all the necessary kit (toiletries, tea coffee sachets, electric kettle, plenty of towels, tissue paper dispensers and rolls. Also they have two tvs in the room with two separate tv units, which i have never seen in any hotel room. There is a also a separate spacious seating area next to the bed. The standards maintained are at par with star properties costing 4-5 times as much as this room easily. The buffet spread was adequate but most importantly, every item on the menu was well-made with attention to taste and guest requirement. There are three swimming pools in the property which are open from morning to 7pm. The large one is best for family groups. The beach is a ten minute walk from the hotel, through a small market. The doorkeeper will provide you with xl-sized umbrellas om request. Also near the restaurant are many good restaurants offering a lively atmosphere for dinner. The hotel also has a game room for kids with chess, ludo, carrom, etc but we did not try it out. The owner of the property, mr shelly gonzalves, a senior and well-respected businessman, visits daily and interacts with the guests himself. His passion is visible in the way he speaks to the guest and his angels (he hates referring to his employees as staff. It is clear that he has been working patiently towards the happiness and well-being of the staff for a long time because the staff supports and diligently follows the values and protocols that he has instilled into them for successfully running the hotel. For them, the guest is as important to them as they themselves are to the owner. In summary, this been a memorable stay in a hotel with standards equal to, and many times surpassing star properties at 1/5th of the price of equally equipped rooms. What it maybe lacks in expanse, it makes up in attention to detail, hospitality and promptness. Wishing all the staff good luck and best wishes for the future
