Fantastic heritage property. Highly recommend!

This was the best place I have stayed in ..in India. A heritage property, comfortable, spotlessly clean, bedding and towels looked new. Good size room with aircon. The food was of the highest quality and was freshly cooked each day. The service was impeccable. Lovely garden and terrace. A good area to be in.

We stayed at this guesthouse a year ago and since then it has been really well updated. All rooms and common areas are immaculately clean with new curtains and fixtures. Bathrooms have been upgraded and showers are good. Location is excellent and we will continue to come back here!

We stayed one night , it is a relaxing guesthouse and kept very clean. We enjoyed a delicious home-cooked dinner whilst staying . The guesthouse has a nice lounge area where you can admire the antiques and listen to the traffic go by outside.

Barua Bhavan offers a charming vintage ambiance with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The rooms are impeccably maintained, and the location is conveniently close to the banks of the Brahmaputra. The caretakers are exceptionally helpful and considerate. They went out of their way to assist with ropeway timings, arranged an e-rickshaw, and even negotiated fares to ensure we weren’t overcharged as tourists. I highly recommend Barua Bhavan for anyone seeking a comfortable and delightful stay.

It's a heritage property. It was just near the railway station and war memorial. The owner maintains this property nicely. Nice dining area and sitting area. It is very nice if you are coming in group. They provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner too

Baruah bhavan is one of the warmest and coziest homestay. The guests are well taken care of. Hari and rajiv are the two caretakers who make sure that the stay is the most comfortable and memorable one. The food is amazingly good as it is prepared under the supervision of the owner mrs. Vandana baruah.

Excellent stay, hospitality, home cooked food! the place is situated near river brahmaputra, in the midst of hustle bustle of the city. Every room has a theme and feels like home as it is a home turned into a guest house with the host being there to oversee the stay of the guests.

The caretaker mr hari kalita and his team were excellent hosts. They were warm and hospitable. The place was clean and well managed. The rooms are good. The location is fantastic and the place has an old world charm. Highly recommend it if you wish to stay for longer periods. Good people and location

The property is beautiful and well maintained. Its an ancient property, tastefully decorated, and you are taken away to a whole different world. Did not avail any food service there so no idea. The location is in a congested area. And there are no big signages as suh to locate the property easily. But accurately mapped on google and one can read the house name on the name plate only. The staff was polite at the time of checkout and till late night. Morning experience was bitter as one of the attendant had told us we could stay up late and have our party as we awe-re the only guests that night. But morning everybody had grumpy faces and were rude. Made us pay 2k for a minor scratch in the owners car. The owner refused to meet and it was humiliation and had to pay way more than than any damage actually caused. This incident left a bitter aftertaste for me. As for the property i would still highly recommend as it is a lovely place and pictures do justice
