It was 10 minutes speed boat drive from the airport to the property, beach sea facing rooms we have chosen, kids play area has entertained the kids with variety of options with the activity’s, private photography service we have taken it’s was nice pictures with the resort locations. Food option were lot with different five restaurant.

Great resort, just 10 mins speedboat ride away from male airport. Nice beaches, great food and lot of activities to keep you engaged during your stay! staff is also very courteous and always had a smile on their face!

Excellent Stay

The resort was excellent! very gracious staff all around. We loved the japanese restaurant hamakaze, the chef was very sweet and talented. The lagoon around the island is very clean and home to a lot of beautiful fish. The resort gave us complimentary snorkelling equipment and we explored the lagoon at our leisure. We had a wonderful stay overall!

Very well maintained property. Location, services, cleanliness - everything up to the mark. Staff very courteous and always happy to help. Food is also good. We were on a daai meal plan and it covered almost everything, didn't have to pay anything extra and you can eat and drink throughout the day - not only restricted to breakfast, lunch and dinner. Indian restaurant remains closed on 2 days a week and limited indian vegetarian options available for breakfast and lunch. You may still get pizaa, burger, salads and curry rice options. Overall a great stay - our 4 years' kid enjoyed a lot

Excellent location, excellent resort, excellent light blue beach, unlimited snorkeling, free kayaking, free parasailing, excellent staff. But budget travelers, please don't go, very costly. For example to and fro speed boat charges $100 per person, local tax $10 per person per day, food option at-least $100 per person per day and you don't have any other option as the full island is occupied by this resort only. Luckily we had bread, jam, pickle, so we could manage. In restaurant we saw discrimination, we said we will take the left over of food (breakfast) which will otherwise go go to trash, they didn't allow us, but nearby tables where maldivians and other nationals, they gave silver foil boxes so that so that they can take the left overs. I am used to discrimination, i lived in western countries so it didn't bother me much. In short kurumba is excellent resort if you are not looking for budget options

Value for money

If your flight lands after 6:00 pm, don’t want to spend above 1000 usd for seaplane, don’t want to travel again for 30 to 45 minutes in hot non ac seaplane, want a nearby resort after landing, spend only 300 usd for boat transfer to and fro from airport, don’t want a heritage pool villa, best option is kurumba.

Our best vacation at kurumba

Our 3 days vacation at kurumba island were soooo nice. Staff was so careful and kind to us, any request - they’re ready to make it happen. Additional many thanks to zuhro - she was very hospitable, she can speak russian. Also i wanna mark some special things you have if you stay at kurumba - 1 free of charge kayaking and half an hour of photosession. It was the first time in maldives for us with my wife and we made a right choice by chosen kurumba island. We will back soon, guys. Again and again!

Had a wonderful stay at kurumba maldives. Thanks to all the staff members for making our trip memorable. Pros (almost everything) - kid friendly (we had an 8 year old with us) - polite and friendly staff - water sports and activities - dolphin ride - variety of food and drinks - breathtaking view - very close to male (you can see the airport from the resort) cons (nitpicking) - sound of airplane and seaplanes - prices are on higher side (as maldives is a remote place) - -

Our stay at kurumba maldivies was a great experience. The room was more than our expectations and was all neat and clean. The property has a great view of sunset and sunrise and it was pleasant to our eyes. Only suggestion was if they can provide bicycles to the guests it would be nice. 😊

One of the best island resort. Reception, room arrangements, food, other facilities are so good. Staffs are welt-rained and humble. No communication problem as every one speak english. Very near to main airport only 8 minutes journey. I will rate them 10 out of 10

Kurumba maldives is a gem and must visit resort near male. The property is well managed and maintained even though it is the oldest resort. All the staff are courteous and know to give best customer experience. Crustal clear beaches all round and very good restaurants.

I stayed at Kurumba with my family for 3 days in September 2023 for my wife’s and son’s Birthday. I must say, if you're looking for a family vacation with toddlers and kids, Kurumba is the place in the Maldives. The hospitality and staff are excellent, and the facilities and services are world-class. My daughter loved spending time at Majaa recreation, and special thanks to Kavita, who took great care of her there. We loved the place. Thank you, Kurumba, for making our vacation special.

Our stay at kurumba was excellent hotel is well planned situated in the islands with beautiful locations and having water sports, activity areas for kids, photo studio, spa etc. Services are very well managed and staff takes personal care of the guests specially the housekeeping is excellent i have never come across the cleanliness twice during the day i. E. Morning and evening. Food and other items of all tastes available be it indian, thai, chinese etc, specially the promptness in service and behaviour of the staff. I shall remember my stay for a very long time and specially surprised us by sending cake and arranging decorations on birthday. Great kurumba hope shall maintain the great standards for very long time excellent excellent excellent
