Kuwait, officially known as the State of Kuwait, is a country on the western front of Asia. The name itself is derived from the Arabic word “Kut,” which literally translates to fortification. Kuwait Airways is the national airline and national flag carrier of Kuwait and is member of the Arab Air Carriers Organization. It was formed by a group of Kuwaiti businessmen in 1953 but started to operate in 1954.
