Neat pool and compound

Broken toilet seat was not changed during my entire stay though l reported on day one. It’s crazy to charge $40 for transportation to the airport. It should be free and complimentary. Compound was clean, staff very friendly and respectful, good ambiance and neat pool.

The property is small, quiet and staff is polite, helpful and friendly. The room lacked a microwave however the staff helped to warm stuff. They should improve offerings for breakfast.

I had a restful stay at the Charleston Hotel. The staff is polite, welcoming and helpful. The cleaning ladies are all friendly and always ready to help. The only thing I was disappointed with is the fridge malfunctioning for a day and half, spoiling half of my goods. I would still stay there next time as one incident should not determine how the next stay will be like. Thanks again for having me :)
Worst hotel stay ever !!

I can’t believe this hotel is on Hotel.com. This hotel is in a. Wet poor condition . The bedroom we were given on arrival was disgraceful. We asked to be moved to another . No great improvement .

Loved the glass block shower room. Plenty of hot water and shower head worked great. Room clean, sheets clean and crisp, bed comfortable.
Quiet location at the Charleston Hotel 🏨

The Charleston Hotel in Accra, Ghana 🇬🇭🌍 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This review is a little late we stayed at the Charleston Hotel 🏨 from November 23rd through the 25th of 2023. This is a nice quiet hotel in a good quiet neighborhood to the west of the city. The bed in the room was very comfortable 👍 The bathroom was clean and in very good order. During our stay we stayed in three different hotels for 16 days total. To be truthfully honest. This hotel I probably wish I could have stayed the whole time that I was in Ghana 🇬🇭🌍. The staff is very friendly and focused. The area is clean and well kept. I felt safe and secure at this location. This is definitely one of my future hotels I will be revisiting next year.

Very nice place to stay. Staff are very professional

This was my absolute worst experience at a hotel! When I left my room for breakfast the very first night we stayed at the hotel, the hotel cleaning staff member stole $100 from my purse. When I returned to my room, the $100 was missing! After reporting it to management, they did nothing about it, but continually ignored us and our inquiries. The next morning, we could hear the hotel staff member who stole the money from my purse, talking negatively about us right outside our rooms with no consequences for the theft! There were bed bugs in our bed so we suffered bites and burns all throughout the night from the bed bug bites. When my spouse pulled the mattress back, he saw numerous bed bugs and their eggs. There were tons of mosquitos in our rooms each night due to the hotel keeping a door open in the common area near our room. We never sleeper each night due to continuous itching and bed bugs and mosquitoes, we had to repeatedly complain to the manager and multiple staff who lied about being the manager in order to cancel our stay there after three horrible days of torture. Worst experience ever. We will never go back again.

Very comfortable bed, crisp clean linens, big bathmat, clean fresh smelling bath towels and a hand towel. Working fridge. However the wall had a glassblock square the size of a window, facing the bed. In the hall outside this glassblock window a ceiling light burned all night. Right in the eyes of someone lying on the bed. Very annoying. Also the toilet seat was not bolted to the commode, which was occasion for quite a surprise, and the hand held shower wall holder was broken. Breakfast is OK, but some fresh fruit or juice would be nice. But staff are helpful and friendly, and the price is right. For 1 night, it is pleasant. The bed with excellent back support and clean bedding is the main attraction. The room was clean, clean floors, clean fridge, clean sink and shower. But the window coverings were a bit dusty. The restaurant menu was large, and the food we ordered was good, with large portions. But my noodles with chicken and vegetables had to be ordered twice, as they sent it spiked with red pepper, even tough I told the waiter NO PEPPER of any kind. The second no pepper order came out quickly and was very tasty, fresh and well cooked, no raw chicken and the vegetables were al dente, as was the pasta. It is the infrastructure that made me downgrade. This is not the first time I have stayed here, on the way from airport to home in Cape Coast. I will stay here again. The price was right.

Never staying in a hotel in Ghana, this one was perfectly located for what I wanted and the staff was friendly and helpful. Having the dining room was a huge, because finding restaurants in Ghana is not like finding them in some countries. It is also located in a nice neighbor where I felt safe to walk.

Well this hotel is located in a rich neighborhood. I did my review on video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x9RQu4zxzhc

Showers broken in 2 rooms. Toilet leaking.

Very comfortable.

The property is accurately pictured when it comes to the building and public spaces. The receptionist was cordial during check in. There is no elevator but someone did bring my suitcase up to the third floor. There is no air conditioning in the hallways but you have it in your room activated by hotel key. Continental breakfast was available: pineapple juice, coffee, white bread slices, boiled eggs and sausage/hotdog. I was unable to secure bottled water while at the property. No after hours services are available. The hotel room was clean. A great plus was the power strip in the room that provided an outlet for all plug variations.
Stressing.

Total Disaster

A complete disaster. Hotel was clean, very unsafe neighborhood, over priced, non-existent WiFi, non-existent hot water, lights not operateble, food was just fair, uncomfortable foam beds. Air Conditioner leaked huge amounts of water on and in my computer. Would never stay there ever.
Welcoming and helpful staff

Charleston Hotel staff made me feel welcome, amid their busy week of conferences and a full-house of guests. All staff were attentive to serving food and drink soon after sitting down at a table by the pool, bar and restaurant. It is a pity that they did not have the ingredients to all menu items at first but they accommodated my repeated request and eventually bought in the ingredients and drinks to make me a happy customer. Given my busy work schedule, where I wanted home comforts at the end of the day, this gesture was most appreciated. All guests are given wifi access for two devices (to maintain good bandwidth for all guests to use) but travellers who come with laptop, 2 mobile phones and a tablet can simply ask to increase this restriction to however many devices they need to connect to the wifi. Don't feel afraid to ask; the hotel will accommodate your needs. Charleston hotel is well presented and feels like an oasis amide a quiet residential area. It is also within easy access to the centre of Accra (access to Uber taxis will greatly facilitate your travel needs). My favourite thing to do after a day of work was take a dip in the pool (even after sunset), shower and then sit on the balcony areas working through emails, where I experienced a nice evening breeze. The reception and management staff were friendly and did their utmost to make me feel happy. I would not hesitate in choosing this hotel again on my next visit to Accra.
