The Shai Red

Pros: 1. The location is perfect - right in the middle of the market and next to eateries with lots of food options. 2. Service is outstanding and the staff is very helpful. I complained of TV not working at 11 pm in the night, after coming back from dinner and expected it to be repaired next day. To my surprise it was repaired at the same time at midnight. 3. The facilities in the room are very good with Satellite TV, safe and other comfort items which is rare at this cost. The rooms are clean too. 4. Overall a complete value for money for solo travelers. Cons: 1. Small room but better than other shared guest houses in similar price band. 2. No early check-in and late check-out, everything is charged. Families to avoid as the surrounding area is bit shady (with call girls hanging around) after dark which the The Shai Red has no control, but it is safe even after midnight.
