The rooms were not updated. The restaurant workers were not the friendliest. These people expect people to treat them good when they travel but cant treat their own or others good. Attitude sucks. I loved the beach but the rooms can use an upgrade/update. Didnt feel as clean.

Rating: [1/10 Title: Disappointing Stay - Cleanliness Concerns, Unfriendly Staff, and Poor Compensation I recently stayed at Catalonia in Jamaica and had a disappointing experience due to widespread cleanliness issues, unfriendly staff, and poor compensation for the problems we encountered. The bathroom in my room was not well-maintained, with visible mold and mildew in the shower area. To make matters worse, I later discovered blood stains on my sheets. When I reported the issue to the front desk, they offered to show me two alternative rooms. Unfortunately, neither of these rooms was clean and up to standard either. This suggests to me that the hotel has a deeper problem with its housekeeping and cleaning protocols. To add to my frustration, some of the staff members I interacted with were not friendly or welcoming. As a guest, I expect to be treated with respect and courtesy, especially when I'm reporting issues with my room. Because they were unable to provide a clean and acceptable room, they offered to clean the original room. However, this meant that we lost the first night of our reservation, which was a significant inconvenience. The only compensation they offered was a late check-out, which didn't come close to making up for the problems we experienced. I'm extremely disappointed in the way they handled our situation. As a paying customer, I expect a certain level of service and quality, and it's clear that this hotel fell far short of those expectations.

The fire alarm made the beep sound all night nothing in the fridge to drink it was a disaster would not recommend.

No drinking cups in the room, we pay for all inclusive which comes with drinking water and beverages but none was in the room. Dinning service agents some of them are very discriminatory

We visited in celebration of my husband 40th bday . Great location very close to airport . Jada at front desk received us with vid smile and kindness . Earl on the pool Bar was amazing with his drinks .

-WiFi connection is subpar, slow & goes out -Room 4346 has a raggedy, noisy, very loud air conditioning unit & no one cared -Buffet area needs help (flies on fruit) -Restaurants are just on a paper with QR codes: no pictures of food or description of each restaurant. -Better hotels have an app for guests -Entertainment options were TERRIBLE, they need help in this area. Duplicate what the other hotels do (party bus to the clubs for a flat rate, etc.) -Diana with the mustache in the buffet area has a nasty disposition about her & should not be serving anyone food/drinks. -No shows at all like other hotels, just elderly soloists. -Add Kayak equipment & floaties for guests so the resort won’t be so boring. -They constantly ran out of ice and clean plates. Please order some more ice machines for the other food areas. -Please get better Internet -Please add meat to the buffet for breakfast that is not pork: many people do not eat pork and at dinner they only hand out 4 shrimp at a time -Catalonia is close enough to the airport & should have a free shuttle as Taxi’s overcharge $30 to go to the airport each way, per person. -The air conditioning unit in room 4346 was extremely loud, it made it hard to sleep!!! I called the front desk who said they would send maintenance & no one ever came. I made 4 calls to the front desk in total regarding the terribly loud air conditioning unit, you can check outgoing calls from that room. -Guest services was subpar for special occasions

This property has great potential, but it is in need of a serious facelift! This place is dated and not in good repair. It also is home to a gang of feral cats who constantly beg for food at the buffet restaurant. The tennis courts are a disaster. The bar constantly runs out of ice. Depending on what building you are in the WiFi is sketchy. They do have pretty good nightly entertainment and I found the staff to be friendly. You have to get your own drinks and food when at the pool or beach. They also don’t have room service. This property use to be the Holiday In and it doesn’t seem like Cantalonia has made any investment since they purchased the property. The ala cart restaurants are hard to get into. The buffet does have a lot of choices, but the food is pretty average also. There isn’t much that is special about this place.
