The road to the resort towards the last 1 km is very bumpy but the property is beautiful and well kept, staff is courteous. The food lacks a little and you got to depend on the Essque Zalu Zanzibar's food as not a lot of options around. We liked a little zoo and aquarium few meters from the resort, very nice. But the property and staff are good.
