Legendary hotel with excellent service

I had planned to stay here whenever i come to bangkok after watching the movie hangover 2. The decision didn’t disappoint. The check in was not fast but smooth. The property is old but is well maintained. The only downside to the property is lifts for the 52nd and above floors. They take a lot of time to be free as those lifts are the ones for skybar as well. The room was huge and had good amenities for a comfortable stays. Views out of the balcony were mesmerizing. The in room dining was quick and the food was lip smacking. You get both good indian and thai options. Overall it was one memorable stay.

The lebua at State Tower (The World s First Vertical Destination) was good with all in room amenities. The balcony view was awesome from 52nd floor. However they provided us with twin beds for couple booking which was really insensitive. Also there was no mm t black benefits available even though the property is listed as mm t luxe. They take a deposit of 10 thousand thb on arrival per room which is quite high compared to room rates.

Everything was good, though the deposit system should have been informed to us before hand, and also their airport transfer system too, overall a good experience. There was a bit of a plumbing issue in the room, and the staff tried their best in resolving it.
