Great place in the heart of old Fairhaven.

The staff were indifferent The room had soap drips and smudges on shower glass A couple surfaces in bathroom and main area that had not been cleaned sufficiently The room had disruptive noises through the day AND night Such as thumping, banging, rumbling Also there is a train that comes nearby again disrupting quiet and sleep. That is not mentioned on their website The bathrobes were worn and dingy The chairs, trim were worn and dinged The reading chair in room was not supportive The room rate is NOT worth the rate they charge

Beautiful spot, nice clean rooms and an amazing view . Wear the earplugs for the early morning train though.

Was not as nice as when we stayed here 10 years ago. The bathrooms have not been updated, which mostly matters because the shower grout was gross. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner (hair and grime in tub when we arrived) and housekeeping rinsed my coffee mug from first morning and replaced it to the coffee service with a coffee ring still inside. Begging the question, what rag/towel was used to rinse and dry it?The location is great with a view of the water and easy walking path to coffee, easy drive to the shopping/dining areas. Restaurant food/drinks were tasty and reasonable. The staff were all very friendly and professional. That said, the room we stayed in was a view of a huge HVAC exhaust pipe and two big PVC pipes with no shrubs to mask it. At some point they actually destroyed several shrubs to make sure you could see every inch of those pipes. We expected and don't mind the train noises, but I don't know why they stuck us in a room with a view of industrial pipes and related sounds in a hotel that was not fully booked. Actually, no room should have that experience. Also, the room included two robes in shabby condition and no slippers - not even if you asked at the desk. Slippers and decent robes are standard for a "spa" hotel. I appreciated the in-room tub, but the beds were like sleeping on concrete.

We've been visiting this hotel since 2011 and absolutely love it! It's a beautiful, comfortable hotel with views of the bay, and walkable to Fairhaven. The staff is always warm and accommodating, beds are comfortable, provided toiletries are good quality and smell nice, even the "partial" bay views have a pretty good view, the giant tub is a big bonus you won't find in most hotels, the sliding partitions for privacy are a really nice touch and you can keep them open to enjoy the view while relaxing in the tub. This specific room did not live up to their usual excellent standards, and I'm only including it here for the hotel's attention. The room we had (217) was listed as partial bay view, and as we've stayed in this room type many times, we were disappointed to find you can hardly see the bay at all, as a big tree obscured the whole view. Obviously the tree shouldn't be taken down, but the room shouldn't be listed and charged as a partial view. Not a big deal, we just would've chosen a different room. Also, the tub needed to be rinsed out several times before it could be used because of the cleaning product residue, there were blood stains on the sheets, and the throw pillows smelled a bit musty and like mildew. This was also the first time we remember hearing any noise (aside from the expected train), but we heard the people above us walking around, and every time a toilet was flushed, or water turned on in the rooms above and on either side of our room.

Staying one night would have been worth the price if the following changes can be made (these are subjective and expensive to implement, but would bring greater value for the hotel): complimentary breakfast without extra fee, partially inclusive snack/mini-bar in hotel room, heated bathroom floor, and warm light lamps instead of harsh white light.

We found this hotel to be beautifully situated with stunning views of the water from the west-facing windows of the hotel. It has a lodge-like feel in the lobby area and restaurant. Lots of wood features, large beams, A lofty entrance atrium, and a fireplace in the living area. Personnel were uniformly friendly. Our room (206) was spacious, well appointed and very comfortable with a partial view of the water. The restaurant was outstanding. We did not make use of the spa facilities this visit. Trains come by directly in front of the hotel at intervals, but we did not find the audible rumble to be intrusive or disturbing. My only complaint is that the lobby and living/firplacee area of this hotel gets quite drafty and even chilly (we stayed in mid-December) due to very large areas of glass on either side, and due to the rush of cold air that comes into the lobby whenever the front door is opened. Naturally, this is of concern during the winter months, probably not an issue during the warmer months. The problem for us is that it made it uncomfortable to sit by the fireplace due to the drafts and cold wind from the entrance door whenever it was opened.

This is our favorite spot to stay when we visit Bellingham. The view from the room is spectacular. We enjoy walking to Fairhaven and Woods Coffee along the trail. The food from Keenan’s at the Pier hotel restaurant is also amazing and always delicious. We will definitely be back!

This is a great Inn and we really enjoyed the restaurant and views. Staff was also very friendly. You can walk just about anywhere and location is very convenient with parking available. Only down side is that the train is a little noisy, but they do provide ear plugs.
