Great getaway with lots to do

Very nice resort on its own small island. Free boat across to the town, takes about 2-3 minutes. Food at breakfast was good - with enough variety to please pretty much everyone. Only complaint would be food options for lunch and dinner are rather limited and not cheap.

This place is overpriced, average food and the room were not worth the $2000 we paid for them. My sister fell through the board in the deck with my nephew and hurt herself. The bed was very hard and hard to sleep in The power went out randomly all the time, they run on Solar, which in the heat is not good. Limited menu food which cost you a kidney if you want to eat on the island. The description and photos are very misleading of the island

This property looks like an island paradise in the photos far from true, its rundown, and unsafe. The first day we got here, my daughter picked up my grandson took one step and went through the deck. She ended up with bruising and puncture to her leg, grandson ( 8mths) bang his elbow. Still debating to talk to our lawyer about this. It’s over priced, the way to sign for charges is out of date so others ended charging to our room. Staff took towels from our room that belong to us and we never got them back, asked many times it just become to hard in the end they kept bringing us resort towels. The beds are so hard, will need to see a chiropractor to fix our backs when we get home. Everyone one of us got sick, we think from the chicken wings we ate ( common denominator) some had gastro, as we heard 4 other families on island also did. We had to extend our stay by 1 night, was so sick couldn’t make the flight, instead of charging us the nightly rate they charged previously a new rate which was nearly $600 for the night. The staff were great and helped when possible. We will not be back and will not be recommending to anyone else

Our stay was everything we hoped and more. The staff were beyond amazing and helpful. The only down side was the wharf situation. The rest of our stay was so perfect, we will be back again!

Our stay at Iririki Resort was unfortunately underwhelming. While the staff were genuinely friendly, the experience as a whole fell far short of expectations. The resort advertises itself as a four-star property, but in reality, it does not live up to this claim. A major issue was false advertising. Services and amenities advertised as available often weren’t. For instance, the resort claims to have several dining options, but many restaurants were closed or operated inconsistently. The “cultural dining experience” we paid $150 for was a subpar buffet, and food at the pool bar was average pub fare with unjustifiably high prices (e.g., $12 for a bowl of chips). Families we spoke with resorted to eating noodles in their rooms due to the exorbitant costs. Accessibility was another challenge. Earthquake damage in Port Vila meant the Main Street was closed, and the resort’s ferry landing site changed, the new location is steep, unsafe and difficult to access and not 24hrs. Despite the well-kept gardens, much of the resort’s infrastructure was tired and in disrepair. Sun loungers were often broken, pool lights were hanging off with exposed wires, and beach towels were completely worn out. These details, along with misleading advertisements, created a sense of being overcharged for an experience that consistently underdelivered. Iririki Resort has potential, but without significant improvements to facilities, pricing, and transparency it fails to justify the cost.

As much as the location is great, the service is really appalling. I booked spa before I came in and when we went to the spa they turned us around so we had to book again. Service despite the fact numerous staff was slow and appalling. Room amenities were ok all in all ok stay

Fantastic holiday location for families. Wonderful entertainment for children. So friendly and calm.

This property has a lot of potential! The staff are not the most friendly, they either look fed up or they have no knowledge on what you ask them. No customer service at all. The place the rooms and the furniture looked tired. They really need a golf cart or some kind of vehicle to take you around as it is hilly and a hell of a lot of walking in humid hot heat.

The room we had was lovely, they are a good size and we had a nice view. Breakfasts are good, decent range of food. The location was great, just catch the free ferry and you and in the ‘city’. The resort was nice and staff were lovely. Pls remember this is a developing country, not everything is always easily accessible. If you can remember that you will have a great time.

I enjoyed it so much when I stayed here in July that I came back in October. Close to everything in Port Vila but a quiet location. The spa ocean view room is huge and a great place to watch the ships entering and leaving port. Friendly staff and the vibe rubs off to the guests. Make sure that you paddle around the island. I shared the canoe with Cedric and had a great chat. 😁

Seems to have a lot of staff but are not very efficient. Mostly are friendly but maybe not well trained in hospitality. A high standard does not seem to be a priority. 2 poorly presented cocktails cost over $40aud took away the essence of the environment focussing on a bit of a money grab. Constantly having to remind reception of no towels or glasses. No drinking water available in the room. Iririki is in a beautiful location and has loads of potential but really has work to do

We had an amazing 7 night stay at Iririki as a four adult family staying in a family fare. The staff at Iririki are truly amazing and provide a fantastic welcoming service that makes you feel like you’re amongst friends more than just employees at a resort. If you take the time to learn their names and say hello that takes your experience to a whole new level as their culture is all about friends and family. Vanuatu isn’t a highly developed country so expect that this won’t be a high luxury perfect place to stay compared to other places you may have been, there will be things around that are needing fixing or done differently but just embrace it. The family fare was great, nice and open plan with both air con and ceiling fans, bathroom a nice modern presentation with huge shower. Rooms were tidied, beds made, even shelving tidied and clothes folded for you each and every day by room service. Moana, Fiiana and Levina are super helpful and friendly at the experience desk for all of your tour bookings. They were able to help us plan, save money and get the most out of all the things we wanted to do. Sometimes that meant setting up an experience that was outside of a normal organised tour and became more custom to our desires, no problem for those girls they nailed it. Iririki has everything you need for a wonderful experience in Vanuatu stay on the island or go exploring it’s all right there, we will be back that’s for sure!

Iririki sits in a working port and many of the fares/bures/rooms sit directly across from a shipyard and the waterfront grounds which can make for some really noisy nights like music till 2:30am especially when a show is on, anyone paying this much money doesn’t want to be kept up this late, maybe tourism Vanuatu and the resort could have a chat! There were many guests in the same boat as us, with some late sleepless nights. The resort has a bit to go to get to 4 or 5 stars especially with the money your spending is currently 4 stars, just from general detail of fittings in rooms, bathrooms, bed comfort Buffet breakfast was nice everyday, with a good mix of choices available. Availability to kayaks and paddle boards good, snorkelling was easy but then end of the jetty easily tips people off, some sort of improved floating jetty (not the 4 x 44 gallon drums tied together just like my home dam!) would be great for the less stable of guests to ease into and out of the water, flippers need an upgrade as guests walk in them ruining them, although good for a chuckle)! The buffet dinner with either Melanesian dance or fire dance wasn’t all its cracked up to be and at ~$65 AUD was pretty steep for a buffet. The boat/ferry landing team were lovely and conscientious to help everyone. On the whole the stay was relaxing, easy and safe to get around Port Vila, Jim and front concierge staff were very helpful.

Great resort for families and couples thoroughly recommend, beers are a little pricey though.

The property is great but the staff make it better. Everyone is kind and accomodating. The boat ride is quick and pleasant and is not at all restricting. The longest I had to wait was 5 minutes. It seems to be very popular with families with young children.

The hotel is lovely, however either budget for more than Aussie prices for food and drink or eat and drink elsewhere.
