I also loved how there were entertainment each nights of our stay.

Travel Month: Jan 2025Our room had an odor, and no hot water. Our tropical view was a few trees and the roof of an abandoned resort. By the elevator on the 4th floor, I had some ceiling fall on my head and it was all over the floor. We complained, asked for a room with hot water and where the ceiling wasn’t falling, but extra $50/day more. They fixed the water the next day. All guests were given a $200 coupon credit to use on massages, wine, extra dinners. It was a scam. $10 or $20 off and only use 1 at a time. They would give us $100 credit towards a lobster dinner but we’d need to sit through 1.5hr presentation off site and then it would only cost around $40 each. We said no and he told us “cmon, I need more credits”. Not all restaurants were included and the booze was mostly cheap rail and awful! I asked for patron and was told $14, and not included. Very boring with only a few activities. Adult pool had to walk to beach for towels. Our towels got wet and we were not allowed to trade them in for a dry towel. The “adult only” restaurant had children and babies. They said The Sunclub children can be there. They were limited chairs in adult pool and only 1 day we got chairs as guests would lay towels down in the middle of night. We finally got chairs, put our towels & bag on chairs and our towels and bag we tossed to the side and guests took them. This was a common practice and caused a few yelling fights. Babies sitting at and on bars. No smoking signs but nobody obeyed!! NOT GOOD RULES!!
Travel Month: Jan 2025Property was okay… food was really good. Also, we got a room upgrade but door couldn’t lock so we felt uncomfortable sleeping and couldn’t get anyone at reception. But my stay was good for most part and staff always have a warm smile.

Travel Month: Dec 2024We loved it so much we extended our trip twice! Everyone is so friendly and spoil you! Felix was amazing with arranging our room, luggage, arranging taxis etc. The Sun Club is the way to go! You can walk from the hotel to a Party Catamaran.
Travel Month: Dec 2024Rosario and Yurka in the sun club were amazing. They make the best drinks out of all the bars. The hospitality was great. We were very disappointed with the show at chopsticks, our chef was a little boring, he only did a few tricks in the beginning and then rest of the time he just cooked as opposed to the other chef who was great entertainment throughout. Anything we asked for or needed was quickly sent to our room. The spa was absolutely amazing. Alexandria did my hair and she was fantastic! We got a mini facial but I can’t remember the ladies names but they were so good! The food was fine, nothing out of the ordinary, the Italian portion of the windows buffet was really. Overall I would definitely come back. At the store I would suggest you make sure if you are paying in pesos that you make sure they give you the right amount back and we almost lost 78 pesos because their calculations were wrong.
Travel Month: Dec 2024This is our first time with this resort, however been to DR many times. We did not read all reviews prior to book and had hoped that they were exaggerated once we did dive into them. Unfortunately they were not. This all inclusive resort had lots of outside vendor interference, there were constant vendors in front of ropes on beach selling their goods (including drugs) only a handful of pleasant staff members we encountered, and the included dining was not great at all. The Italian restaurant was terrible. Long wait, limited options, and bad tasting food. The service staff ie. housekeeping, bartenders, and food service could not understand basic english requests. We asked for directions to another part of resort to 3 different staff before we got a some what answer. Concierge desk was just salesmen, and bartenders did not understand drink requests such as Whiskey and coke. It took several times to get that right. We did like the app to make food reservations and did enjoy the quiet areas.
I do know that we went during the rainy season, but it did not seem like there were many alternate activities indoors during the day,
The rooms are comfortable, however did not enjoy the bathroom and bedroom all one room. No space for privacy at all. No drawers to unpack your clothes. Overall this place was not our favorite and we won't be back.

Travel Month: Dec 2024The service was impeccable I was greeted upon arrival. Was given an overview of the property. My king suite room was spacious and the bathroom nicely appointed with glass surrounded water closet and shower. Nice balcony spent time out there and the beach side Bali beds. The restaurants were amazing with various scrumptious entree offerings. Many activities, shopping and onsite casino. Something for everyone. My first trip to the DR, this resort was impressive, I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
